Schools badminton programme

Pre-School Workshop:

Delivered in partnership with Fingal County Childcare this workshop will give childcare workers ideas on activities suitable for infants and children from aged 2-12 years.

Primary Schools

Sports Conditioning Programme:

Sports Conditioning (Sports Con) is a specialised training module for children of all abilities. The aim of the programme is to improve children's fundamental movement skills.  The 10 week programme delivered by a qualified Sports Con coach includes two assessment days providing assessment reports to guide teachers on children’s fundamental skill development.

Teacher Training

The Sports Con programme includes two 1 hour teacher training sessions. Teachers from all streams are encouraged to attend these workshops. The school will be given access by login & password to an online resource http://learning.fingal.ie/ for videos and tutorials of all the exercises, activities and games from the programme.

The Sporting Facts:

The Sporting Facts is a 7 week education and sports programme that aims to teach children the reasons why we should undertake sport and physical activity. Part of the SPHE curriculum, it provided information on healthy living, lesson plans are provided with practical teaching points.

 

Secondary Schools:

Exercise Energise:

The programme is aimed at girls aged 12-15 years who are not currently involved in sport or physical activity. The activities can take place during lunchtime and/or after school. The girls select their own activities and the programme starts with a multi-sports day is held in September normally hosted in the National Indoor Athletics Arena.

 

TY Programme

This is a 10 week multi-sports coaching programme aimed at improving TY students’ leadership & Sports Coaching abilities.
