Young People (13-18)

Fingal Arts Office partners with artists and artistic companies to generate opportunities for young people to engage with and learn about contemporary and traditional arts practices. Projects focus on the development of creative skills within the context of exploring issues pertinent to life in the contemporary world. Providing a platform for young people’s voices to be heard is at the heart of this work.

Professional Development

Professional Development

Fingal Arts Office provides opportunities for educators to workshop with professional artists and challenge traditional ways of engaging with and thinking about art in the classroom. By exploring the contemporary art practices of Irish and international artists, testing various art materials and their uses and by visiting local and national cultural institutions, projects provide a rich plethora of ideas and inspiration for use with students of all ages in the classroom.

Music Generation

The Arts Office of Fingal County Council welcomes the opportunity presented in the Music Generation scheme. Seeing it as a positive step in supporting arts development in Fingal, we commissioned Sounding Out Fingal – a report on music provision for children and young people in the county in 2011. It aimed to identify ways in which the Council could proceed with others in developing a Music Education Partnership with a view to applying to the Music Generation scheme.
