The Valuation Office is now in the process of issuing Proposed Valuation Certificates to all ratepayers in Fingal County Council’s Administrative Area as part of the Revaluation Process see sample Sample PVC and Explanatory Letter. If you have not received a Proposed Valuation Certificate yet you should contact the Valuation Office directly by email at email@example.com, by telephone at 01-8171033 or LoCall: 1890 531 431.
This new rateable valuation will be effective from 1st January 2020, and will be the basis for calculating your Annual Rates liability for 2020 and subsequent years.
The Annual Rates are determined by multiplying the Rateable Valuation by a multiplier called the Annual Rate on Valuation (ARV).
Current indications are that the ARV for 2020 could be 0.191 Therefore, in order to calculate your likely Annual Rates for 2020 you should multiply your proposed Rateable Valuation by 0.191.
An estimate of your rates liability for 2020 can be computed using the calculator below and inputting the valuation set out in the Proposed Valuation Certificate to calculate next year’s indicative rates and also by inputting your rate bill for 2019 you will be able to calculate any difference in amounts payable.
It should be noted that the Annual Rate on Valuation is indicative only. It is based on the total value of proposed valuations for Fingal as calculated and advised by the Valuation Office and may be subject to change, at the conclusion of the revaluation process and at the Council’s budget 2020 meeting scheduled for early November this year.
There is further information on revaluation available on the Valuation Office website www.valoff.ie. You can also email specific queries to Reval2019@valoff.ie or by telephone on 01-817 1033 or LoCall: 1890 531 431
Please note that this process has no effect on your Rates Bill for 2019.
